A single, consolidated source for a wide range of Kalamazoo dispatch services.

KCCDA strives to deliver the best possible customer service to Kalamazoo County residents, visitors, and all local units of government.   Guided by our Board of Directors and supported by an experienced dispatch staff, we take pride in utilizing state-of-the-art platforms, systems, and technologies to help reach our mission.

Smart911 allows the general public to provide critical information to 9-1-1 call takers so help can be sent faster in an emergency.  You can share important information about your health, location, pets, vehicles, and loved ones which can help first responders react faster and more effectively to emergency situations.

Texty is a platform that allows for texts to be sent to and from 9-1-1 services. With text message usage growing on all devices, including smartphones, PCs, and tablets, Texty ensures that dispatch staff can interact with – and respond to – individuals experiencing emergencies no matter their device or ability.

Multi-Line Telephone System (MLTS) Requirements

Businesses and organizations operating an MLTS must adhere to FCC guidelines/requirements pertaining to 9-1-1.  The system must allow direct dialing to 9-1-1, notification to central location on or off-site that a 9-1-1 call has been made, deliver to 9-1-1 a valid callback number for the device calling, and provide a dispatchable location (office or room number, areas of the building 700 sq/ft or less, etc.).
